MENISCUS WINE

The vineyard is located on the south edge of the township of Akaroa on the ancient crater rim of the spectacular Banks Peninsula situated approximately 80 km to the south east of Christchurch in New Zealand.

The philosophy of the vineyard is to grow grapes to produce wine that is reminiscent of the great wines of France to whom the Village owes its existence being settled by the French in July of 1840. The tension that holds the vineyard to the edge of the crater is similar to the upturned edge of liquid in a glass and is from which the Meniscus name has been derived.
